Xbox controller light blinking.

My elite 2 controller kept giving me a message to reconnect my controller. I tried all the trouble shooting and still gives me the issue. I notice the dashboard button color changed to blue. The only way my controller stays connected is if I plug it in through USB. Does anyone know what the blue light means or am I gonna have to use the warranty?
