Jul 17, 2023 · Review of Hilton Waikoloa Village. Reviewed July 17, 2023. Very disappointing stay. If you go, be prepared to walk A LOT. There is pretty good distance between the towers, restaurants, parking lot etc. We stayed in one of the non-refurbished rooms in the Ocean Tower. It looked basically unchanged since it was built in the 70's or 80's.

The ocean tower is a horrible place to take a family for a vacation. The pools were shut down for more that half of the vacation time (8 days). Water was shut down for a night. There were cockroaches in the room bringing big questions about the cleanliness and hygiene of the place.
