The light being on shows that there is a problem with the EPS. First thing is to check and clean all the electrical connections on the EPS unit. Seen this on generals, ranger and rzrs when using high and starting out on inclines or with heavy loads. If it is, you'll need a new belt. You could try using low range if you haven't already.
