As for actual crazy builds, Barbarian becomes absolutely nutty with any of the combat archetypes. Bastion, Sentinel, Mauler, and Dual Weapon Warrior all give the barbarian fantastic options they wouldn't get otherwise. Dual Weapon Warrior in particular is nuts with giant instinct for Double Slice with large d8 weapons.
