The lot of 846 I have easily pushes 147gr fmj, and 145gr tracer projos out of the barrel at mil spec velocities with no signs of pressure.The 10" even less. But the muzzle blast is greater which gives the perception of more recoil. Anyway, 16" generally works fine with everything else up to snuff, but as other parts wear, in my opinion, 16" is just cutting it too close to the limits. Metric magazines have a small mag well locking tab, pressed out of the body of the magazine. The magazine base plate will be flush with the mag body all around. Can also be used in inch pattern receivers. Some were made of aluminum. The inch magazine has a larger magazine well locking tab that is a seperate milled piece.

Just picked up an FAL with two DSA polymer mags and one Moses mag. Had to file the back of one of the DSA's and the Moses. I'm finding that the top round of both of these mags are getting dented and gouged just from racking a round into the chamber.
