I have the 65" TCL C725 and an Apple TV 4K. I have brightness issues when setting the Apple TV to use Dolby Vision. The TCL picks up the signal, but even on "Dolby Vision Bright" the brightness is quite low. To my amazement, switching the TV off and on again (with the TCL remote) sometimes fixes the issue, and it becomes much brighter.
Model to model is completely different. Picture settings are named different and on the QM8 local contrast should ALWAYS be set to high because it controls the dimming zones. Micro contrast, dynamic contrast, and black stretch should be off as they are fake and create issues like gradation issues and harsh fake highlights/contrast.
