Against armor, I usually use another toxin or electricity mod, to add more weight into corrosive damage. This allows you to proc corrosive a lot often. If you use taxon, use heat, if not, or needing more reliable cc, use cold. Fire has cc and dot, combined with striping with corrosive, can be pretty good.
