No textbook is required but he has a required reading for each lecture and a class evaluation associated with each reading. There are three big writing assignments and two exams. He grades you based on overall participation.

Rovee treats everyone with respect & kindness. Reading quizzes every day so you need to be there, but the required reading for class every day was never too much to handle. His tests weren't difficult, and discussion in class was encouraged but not forced. Two papers with clear directions, and he's available outside of class to talk about them.
