My early game budget kit is an SKS with a 20 rounder, but my favorite budget kit of all time is a 6B3TM, a ssh-68, and a P90 (only 50k). Just W + m1 your way through a fight. As far as cursed guns go - each weapon has slots for different attachments, and those attachments have slots for other attachment (eg handguards have rails). Pick a gun, start buying attachments to put on it, and have fun. There are a couple of mods that will allow you to put any attachment into any slot.
