operating temp. My buddy has a 2007 Buick lacrosse with the 3800. Temp gauge on the dash is jumping around a lot so we hooked it up to a scanner and drove around. Its staying at 217 while driving and up to 235 when sitting with an outside air temp of 84*. Fans are working and there is a new waterpump and new 195* tstat in the car.

Here is the part # for the Felpro gasket set you are looking for, MS95744. It's kinds tricky to find since it's called an intake plenum gasket. It comes with the two o-rings that are go between the lim and the supercharger. You should replace the coolant elbows while you are doing all this other stuff.2) Find yourself a 50 ohm, 180 ohm, and a 1450 ohm resistor. Connect these resistors one at a time between terminals A and B and look at the dash guage. Mar 4, 2010 · its a pretty straight forward gasket replacement. Drain the coolant. Remove the fuel Rails. remove the Supercharger ( leave the TB on) remove the Lower intake. wipe up any coolant in the block. flush some oil down the valley of the motor. and then reinstall.

The LIM Gasket failure on the 3800 II should be common knowledge to most mechanics, unless they are just shade tree mechanics, that is in my opinion. Have the lower intake manifold gasket changed to FEL-PRO Part # MS98014T, and have the EGR stove pipe swapped to the reduced diameter one that comes in that kit.
