I purchased the new clutch from Deere to get running immediately and sent the old one to the Clutch Doctor to have it fixed. I never had any issue with the replacement part so I put the fixed original primary into storage just in case. Fast forward and some jerk stole my XUV550 and its trailer. I took the insurance money and upgraded to a 590E.

The bolt had broken off in the engine apparently n the past because it was covered with grease and grit.My HPX diesel gator is 16 years old with 900 hours. The primary clutch was sticking especially when it warmed up. I sent the clutch to JD Clutch. They turned the repair around in a day for $450.00. A new primary clutch from JD would cost $600 +.
