I suspect the turbo was out of gas. I swapped to twin 7875s for more volume available with what I thought would be less heat at 15+psi. Also I thought it'd give the ability to go on up to 30-35psi given the same long block. I'm shooting for 8.50-8.20s at current weight, which is where I got the boost number.

For 700-900 hp spend the money on a good converter. You can get a 9.5 that you can't break for $950. Spend $400-500 for the cheaper converter and your rolling the dice on it lasting at that kind of power. A $400-500 converter is meant for the guys with stout n/a motors, not for higher power forced induction cars.
