Get a decent AR. Aside from PSA using their first gen firearms and their users as the beta test, the $$ to quality ratio is better for a standard ar. Aftermarket parts are more plentiful. I personally think a SCAR or any other non ar rifle are neat, but an ar15 is the ideal starter. They are great, they are proven, and you won’t be disappointed.

The BRN-180 is just an upper. The 10.5 BRN-180 is wonderful to shoot and performs much better suppressed. The Jakl reminds me of a next generation AK. It requires more gas to move a heavier carrier than the BRN. BRN is very light too, much lighter than the Jakl.
