You need to check all fuses- ones under center dash panel and inside left side kick panel. Check voltage at starter relay w/key in start position, should be 12+ volts.Oil temp controls the fan just like the coolant fan.So if for some reason the ecm sees the oil temp higer than it should be the ecm will turn engine fan on. 2014 mack mp8 have a question have been noticing high exhaust temps and seem to be affecting performance what is the avg range of normal exhaust temps . Been having 575f to 650f all day when loaded and 340 f to 265f at idle . Also when truck is idling it seems like the turbo whines up for a little bit and you can feel a little difference on the idle like a little shake .

I have no problem recommending Mack because they do have an awesome emissions compliant engine with lots of low end torque and the availability of an awesome auto transmission. My truck did have 1 injector issue at around 100k, but none since.
