I farmed all of the covenant offline. Took me about 10 hours to farm the Shackles from those guys. They were the worst. 2nd place is the Anor Londo Knight farming, I forget which covenant item it was, but they dropped a ton of souls which was great.

Catacombs of carthus is the mian spot to farm them if you are ashamed of your joker-esque clan or scared to die to the dreaded point downers. Go to the bonfire next to the ball of love, go back and kill the two shield bois with the mimic head on until you go hollow. Bring a blunt weapon to smack them around and make the fight easier.
