1426 posts · Joined 2006. #5 · Jul 22, 2018 (Edited) In the old days we would go from galveston to bolivar on the ferry and take 124 & I10 back or sometimes take the back FM through the rice fields just to see the waterfowl in the fall, in the spring to pick berries along the fences. I need to drive that old route to see the changes.
The ferry is the most efficient way to get between Galveston and High Island and since we were staying in one location and birding in the other, we took the ferry several times.
