Got a new TF diff cover for my front dana 30. Most of what I read said capacity should be around 1.3-1.5 qts. The fill hole on the new cover matches with the old so I filled up until fluid started coming out, but that only took right at 1 quart. This may be fine but as this is my first time changing diff fluid, I'm a bit freaked out.

Summary: (1) front differential (D30) - the only lube recommended is synthetic 75W-140, although the 1999 does have an alternative of 80W-90. (2) rear D35C and D44A - 80W-90 except for towing and other heavy-duty uses when 75W-140 synthetic is recommended.I put in exactly recommend amount of 1.75 quarts. That amount barely fill up the bigger cover. Some recommend adding till fluid comes out of the filling hole. I just can't imagine added that much fluid.
