Posted May 1. I have been on 11 cruises on several different cruise lines.. I have to say that the NCL Epic is the worst. We had so many issues. 1. Turning on the lights in our room..Actually had to ask other passengers how to turn them on.. There's a water closet and a shower room. But, that's it. The sink is in the bedroom. That said the company recommended a pickup time of three hours before departure, so already I have a half hour buffer. Rome is the less busy port of disembarkation for the Epic with approximately 25% of the ship. (shorter by a foot in length as width is about the same)
In any case for these two reasons amongst others are probably why there's only ONE NCL Epic instead of an entire class of Epic ships. I believe NCL originally contracted for three Epic-type ships & cancelled the remaining two.
