2001 Kawasaki Vulcan 800 engine noise. Try taking the video outside so it isn't picking up reverb and echo. If it sounds that bad outside, no it isn't normal. That sounds like bad exhaust leak or a straight up rod knock. The rockers aren't adjustable, the lash is set by shims and they get tighter over time.

I think the biggest issue is that most folks don't realize that the stator is only rated for 70 watts of additional load above stock.1. I have had the bike over a year and am afraid to ride it. Sometimes it starts and sometimes not.POGs were replaces with steel starting in 2000, so that won't be an issue. Once it has over 30-40k miles, it may need cam chain tensioner extenders, but that's an easy fix.
