I see that a new James River Armory / Bula M14 rifle is being sold through Classic Arms for $1500. Is the "Rockola" branded M14 from JRA now a discontinued thing of the past or are they still available?LRB and Bula are generally considered the best builders of forged receivers. A good M14 is as reliable as an M1. I would say a Springfield M1A falls in that category. I am with the others here: take advantage of Springfield's warranty and don't change a bunch of parts out. I bought the rifle from SARCO for $900.00; fully assembled and head spaced. This is a cast receiver made by James River and looks to be cleanly milled and fits the stock tightly.
