I haven't found an official server where there haven't been hackers unfortunately. So I play on modded servers that are still pretty much vanilla. Ive only seen one hacker in dayz in 4500 hrs of standalone, yet I hear many that say they have. Dunno what platform you’re on but I have never seen 1 in about 5k hours myself. Dayzsalauncher seems faster because it caches the server + modlist and it also has extra filtering. It requires the server owner to run an extra app too. Once in a while it's gets wonky and there is 0 support on the discord. Once you find a good server in either one, just favorite it and its all good. The standalone is for people who have played the mod and are ready to "move ahead" and help shape the game to what it aims to be, the reason it's so popular is all the people who have already played and loved the mod "went on" with the Standalone.
