The whole purpose of bridge mode is to shut off the Xfinity gateway's WiFi so that it doesn't interfere with the wifi your router broadcasts. If your modem is in bridge mode it won't be on 10.0.0.1 any longer. Try 192.168.100.1 and see how that flies. You may need to attach directly to it without your router in between.
