I knocked out a zenyte set, was able to do Zulrah somewhat effectively without trident, got a DWH, and now I'm working on bandos for armor and hilt. This was all done while being only 75 slayer. For me it beat slogging through 87 slayer with a d scim.If you do, the blowpipe can dps higher on things with low def with amethyst/d darts. But it may not the worth it considering the time you'd spend getting the scales and darts. BP and Bowfa are huge to get. Crystal bow with armour is 25% less dps than bowfa, that difference is mostly damage output, not accuracy ... With full crystalbowfa you can camp range at zulrah, do solo bandos (or with teams you have bis range) raids get WAY more consistent and fun, muspah becomes grindable for GREAT GP, the crystal is the actual entry into end game.

I would generally try just 2 attempts per day or so, and found myself improving quickly.
